Óscar Arístides Renta Fiallo, better known as Oscar de la Renta, was a Dominican fashion designer who became internationally known in the 1960s. He was known for his feminine, modern women's evening wear and suits. De la Renta was also known for his knack for combining old-world craftsmanship with modernity.
